ULTRA VIOLET MINERAL SCULPTURE
and POSTERS

The most geologically unique location on the planet, Franklin/Ogdensburg, New Jersey, is also home of the unique phenomenon....fluorescent minerals.  A small percentage of inorganic minerals aided by metal impurities have the ability to absorb ultra-violet energy. This energy moves the electrons within a materials atoms. The orbital position of the atom is constantly shifting and returning to normal giving off absorbed energy as visible colour. Interesting enough, this material fluoresces naturally in outer space.
